Oh my...Where has the time gone?

Clearly my mother is way too busy to keep this up to date. So many things have happened since my last post in September 2008.

Let's Update

October 2008
Biggest thing this month was Halloween. I was entered in a costume contest at a Animal Cancer Fundraiser Dinner and came in second. The dog that won looked awesome! I was dressed as a shark and even did a little swimming to give the costume the full effect. No photos of that outfit around but my mother took a family Halloween shot. Don't we all look happy?

November 2008
Woohoo! My first agility trial! I am so excited. The day was awesome and I was a little naughty but my mom was very happy with how I ran. A few kinks to work out but I am still a baby. We also attended a seminar with Jo Sermon from England. We learned allot of new things and we are very excited to get back and train it all.

The fall was lovely and my mom took some photos in the fall foliage of all of us. This is our new family photo. I am so cute! I spend allot of my time on Porter's back. It is a nice cozy place to sleep and hang out.

My New BFF Vybe

This is Vybe, my new BFF, which means Best Friend Forever by the way.
For about two minutes she was the same size as me, and like all the other puppy friends I have had, she got bigger than me very quickly.

Auntie Ainsley said my new job is to make Vybe very tired so that she sleeps through the night after I am gone. No problem Auntie, that is a job I can handle! We love to play tug, chase, and of course wrestling. I roll over a lot so Vybe thinks she is winning. Something I have picked up along the way. Puppies need that confidence.

Vybe also has a fascination with my way older brother Bailey. Every time she sees him she starts following him around the yard. I think she may believe he is a tiny sheep, just her size. She hasn't gotten into full stocking mode but she keeps a good eye on him. The funniest part is he could care less about her. Ha-ha-ha!!!

Vybe tries that crazy Border Collie stance with me when we play all the time. I got her card alright. As soon as she crouches I run in and jump on her. Awesome!

My mom said I get to play with Vybe all weekend because the older dogs are playing agility. Sounds like a good time. I can only be a babysitter for another month and then I will be playing with the big dogs. Keep watching for new pictures of me and my new BFF

Summer Vacation

I am back from a fun filled week of vacation on Kootenay Lake in British Columbia. Mom decided to take the three of us furry kids on an actual vacation this year which involved twelve hours in the car and non-stop fun once we got there. I got to play on the beach, swim in the lake, ride in a boat, wear a life-jacket, play frisbee, eat watermelon and run around until I dropped. It was such a great time! Here are some pictures from the road trip....

Horse & Hound

July 12, 2008 was the annual Kids with Cancer Jump for Hope event at Amberlea Meadows. This year I got to play in the Horse & Hound event and made my public debut. At the event the people get to bet on which team of horse and dog will get the best combined score. The pot is split 50% to the winner and 50% to the charity. A pretty good deal and a lot of fun. When they saw me walking around they all laughed and thought it was funny how tiny I was and were teasing each other that they might be paired up with me. Little did they know. I ran the third fastest time but had a super slow horse so we finished 9th. Too bad. Even though I came in 9th I got my very first ribbon for agility. It is bigger than me but very pretty. My mom has officially started my wall of fame at the shop.

My First Flyball Tournament

Have you ever experienced a rush to great that you never come down from the high? I think I just did that playing in my first flyball tournament ever! I LOVE FLYBALL!!! My mom was very worried about other dogs wanting to chase me down but I told her I am a big girl and can handle myself. I have always had fun at practice but getting out into the actual racing lanes was so exhilarating. I found this very high pitched scream inside me and couldn't stop letting it out. My mother thought it was a horrible noise but quite entertaining none the less. Check out the video of my debut below.

Agility Camp

I attended my first agility camp at the end of June, with Terry Simons, Kim Anderson and Cheryl Bartlett and I sure had a good time. Working on agility for three days straight was so much fun. The theme of the camp was Vegas so the handlers were allowed to "bet" on the positives of each others turns. Whenever I was up everybody in our group put all their money on the table in hoped of doubling their money. I did my best not to disappoint. The last bet of the weekend on me was for $10,000. Yikes! Things did not go as well as planned and they lost their money. Easy come, easy go they say. There was a trial on the last day but I am still to young to play but I should would have enjoyed it. In August, I am off to Dana Pike to learn some more great things.

My First Sleepover

There comes a time in every girls life when they get to have their first sleepover. My mom had to go to Jazz's mom's wedding so I had to stay with my auntie and the 3 kids. Hannah was very excited that I was going to be staying over and even wrote it in her day-timer. We spent a lot of time playing in the yard on on the lawn swing. Hannah took me for a nice walk down the street and introduced me to her friends. Those little girls sure like to pick me up a lot. Saturday was dress-up day for Hannah. She likes to pull costumes out of the special closet and dress up. When she put on her Princess Jasmine outfit I got a little freaked out because she had a scarf on her face and didn't look like Hannah. Once Hannah realized I was scared she took of the scarf and picked me up and gave me a kiss.

Later in the evening my auntie had to go out and put me in a crate. Not my favorite thing so I kicked up a little fuss to see if I could get my way but it didn't work. So after she left I put my super powers to work and busted out of my crate! Look at me go. With all my free time I did get into trouble but what else was I suppose to do left in a house all alone? I got up on the kitchen table and stole my food for the next day and took my chewies and tossed them around the front room. Had to go to the bathroom with all that activity and found a spot in the bathroom and the basement. Lovely. The best part of the whole excursion was the look on my auntie's face when she opened the door and there I was to greet her. That will teach my mother for leaving me behind.
